Water salute for our dear friend Christer Sandstedt on his final flight for Air Greenland.
Christer Sandstedt has retired from Air Greenland. Christer has contributed to many of our Air Greenland/ Greenlandair/ Grønlandsfly repaints for flight simulator. Christer took a lot of pictures, providing us with many great details that we since have used on the repaints. Many of the sceneries available here at flightsim.gl are based upon pictures the Christer took for us on his many flights in Greenland. Without the pictures the results just wouldn't be the same.
Christer was also the first ever Air Greenland pilot to fly the AB139 helicopter in Air Greenland colors, or at least in the flight simulator. If you have downloaded our AB139, you will see Christer as the pilot. |

Sisimiut to Ístak Transport Mission.
I made one more mission, this time is a "Pilot for Hire" category mission.
You fly from Sisimiut (BGSS) to the Ístak hydroplant station with your cargo. The weather is not good, and the bad weather is coming. Hopefully you'll fly back to Sisimiut before the bad weather.
This mission has a surprise element, so I only hope you have fuel enough for this mission.
You can find the download file in our "Missions" page. |

This morning the Airbus A380 hit something during the approach to Kangerlussuaq. The pilots were focused on the landing procedures when they heard a loud thump coming from the nose section.

A closer inspection revealed that they apparently had hit Santa as he was departing fron Kangerlussuaq:
